Titanium dioxide is a white crystalline or powdery substance without taste and smell. It is included in paints, varnishes, enamels, primers, plasters, decorative coatings. Titanium dioxide makes the paint as white as possible, increases its hiding power, resistance to UV radiation. Such coatings do not age, retain their original whiteness for many years, do not provide a yellow tinge. They are non-toxic and safe.
Titanium dioxide is used in the manufacture of paints and varnishes, in particular, titanium white, in the production of plastics, laminated paper, rubber products, glass (heat-resistant and optical glass), as a refractory (coating of welding electrodes and mold coatings), etc.
