Aluminous cement is a high-strength binder with a high hardening rate both in water and in air. The raw materials for the manufacture of this type of cement are pure limestone and bauxite mixed with the necessary elements. This type of cement is obtained in the process of grinding fired raw materials enriched with alumina. There are two main methods of cement production – melting and sintering. The choice of method depends on the composition of the bauxites, the quality of the coke, the volumetric content of iron oxides and silicic acid in them.
Aluminous cement is a gray-brown, gray-green or black powder.
All products made of this material are not subject to corrosion and perfectly resist the effects of aggressive environments. The strength of the mixture appears in the early stages of setting and increases rapidly.
Aluminous cement also provides increased strength and density of finished materials. It has high heat and fire resistance. If you add chrome ore, fireclay, magnesite to the mixture, then the solution can be used to obtain special hydraulically hardened refractory concrete.
The use of the solution is also possible at negative temperatures (up to -10°C) without the need for heating – when it hardens, sufficient heat is released.
GÓRKAL 40 cement is indispensable for the installation of heating devices operating at temperatures up to 1300 ° C, which is why we recommend it for the construction of fireplaces, furnace lining, repair of chimneys and ventilation ducts. The use of this cement significantly extends the life of these devices.
GÓRKAL 40 cement also performs well at low temperatures, it can be used even at -10 oC. It also performs well in chemically aggressive environments (eg chlorides, sulfates). The characteristic properties of GÓRKAL 40 cement, such as a short bonding time and a rapid increase in mechanical strength, make it suitable for urgent home repairs. Therefore, it can be used for screeds, window sills and lintels.
Due to its stable phase composition, GÓRKAL 50+ has excellent mechanical properties, can be used in mortars and concretes of building chemicals, and can also be an insulating component of refractory mixtures or other jointless materials.
GÓRKAL 70 is a binder for refractory products. The white color of the product means that GÓRKAL 70 high alumina cement is also used in mixtures of construction chemicals manufacturers. The absence of additives and modifiers leads to the fact that the risk of adverse interactions with other components of the mixture is low.
GÓRKAL 80 GÓRKAL 80 is a high Al2o3 hydraulic binder. The material has been designed to offer refractory customers high refractoriness and satisfactory mechanical properties. The product is in the process of production, so any feedback is welcome. It is important to note that the material is chemically pure cement.
