The strength, thermal resistance, and speed of putting refractory structures into service directly depend on the choice of hydraulic binder. GÓRKAL calcium aluminate cements provide rapid hardening, high mechanical strength, and resistance to aggressive environments across a working temperature range from 1400 to over 1750 °C. Alventus supplies the complete GÓRKAL cement range — from general-purpose construction grades to chemically pure, high-alumina types for extreme conditions.

- GÓRKAL 40 – a general-purpose hydraulic binder with Al₂O₃ >41% and a maximum working temperature of ~1410 °C. Rapid strength development (over 50 MPa after 24 hours) and short setting time allow urgent repairs and accelerated construction cycles. Resistant to sulfates and seawater, and suitable for use at temperatures down to –10 °C. Ideal for refractory castables, furnace linings, fireplaces, screeds, and repair mortars.
- GÓRKAL 50+ – a cement with tightly controlled iron oxide content (<1.5%) and higher Al₂O₃ (51–55%). Maximum working temperature ~1500 °C. A balanced setting time (initial set >220 min) facilitates the casting of large monolithic pieces. Primary applications are insulating refractory masses, lightweight linings, and dry building mixes with high purity requirements.
- GÓRKAL 70 – a chemically pure high-alumina cement with no additives (Al₂O₃ 69–71%, Fe₂O₃ <0.3%). White colour, maximum working temperature ~1710 °C. Fast, controlled setting (final set ≤240 min) and high strength (over 30 MPa at 24 h). Designed for the most demanding refractory products, monolithic linings, and construction chemicals where colour and purity are critical.
- GÓRKAL 80 – an ultra-high-alumina binder with a record Al₂O₃ content of 79–82% and a working temperature exceeding 1750 °C. Exceptional purity (Fe₂O₃ <0.2%) and ultra-fine grinding (>8000 cm²/g) provide stability in reducing atmospheres (CO, H₂). A specialised cement for lining blast furnaces, coke ovens, synthesis reactors, and other units operating at extremely high temperatures.
